This bounty is part of the “End Life Imprisonment” campaign of the Solidarity Network.
To undermine the system’s attempts to silence and bury those it has condemned to die through life imprisonment, we are encouraging people to reach out and write a letter to a person doing a life sentence.
Particularly, we are looking to support those who had been highlighted in “The Visiting Room” who are doing life in prison in Louisiana State Penitentiary. Here is a spreadsheet of their mailing addresses: if you send a letter to someone, please indicate in the spreadsheet so we can make sure everybody gets a letter.
However, writing to anybody doing a life or effective life sentence would qualify for this bounty. Another such place to find incarcerated people looking for penpals is Write A Prisoner.
FreeRossDAO hosts Letter Writing Parties every Thursday at 8PM CST in the Discord, if you would like to hang with people and ask any questions about writing to incarcerated people (attending is a bounty in of itself)
